Muslim leaders in Freetown have expressed deep appreciation to President Dr. Julius Maada Bio for choosing Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh as his Vice Presidential candidate for two consecutive terms, describing it as a recognition of competence, integrity, and religious inclusivity.
Speaking during the sod-turning ceremony for the construction of Jamiul Atiq Mosque Extension Facility in the Fourah Bay Community, the religious leaders further lauded the President’s commitment to “national unity and for selecting a leader who embodies service, humility, and dedication”.
Project Coordinator of the Sierra Leone Muslim Missionary Union, Sheik Fomba Abubakar Swaray, emphasized that President Bio made the right choice, praising VP Jalloh’s character and leadership. He reaffirmed the support of religious leaders, pledging their backing for the Vice President’s initiatives.
A senior Imam also highlighted VP Jalloh’s contributions to the Muslim community and Sierra Leone’s development, calling him a “true servant of the people.”
Deputy National Fullah Tribal Chief, Alhaji Mohamed Lamarana Goubel Sow, who made a NLe200,000 pledge to the construction project on behalf of the Chieftaincy, assured that the Fullah community worldwide would always stand firmly with the Vice President, offering their prayers and unwavering support for his leadership.
