The Eastern Region is one of the strongest bastions of support for the governing Sierra Leone People's Party (SLPP). The SLPP heavily relies on the Eastern Region for it to have any chance of winning national elections.
The young men and women of the districts of Kenema, Kailahun and Kono have been the mainstays of the SLPP support base in the East. They are the future of the SLPP and are the ones who will play critical roles in helping the party retain power in 2028.
It is with the view to consolidating the energies of these young men and women and helping position the SLPP on an infallible trajectory for success in the 2028 polls, particularly in the Eastern Region, that Abdulai Bayoh has thrown his hat into the political ring for the position of Eastern Region Young Generation Leader.
Abdulai Bayoh has been a true-blue SLPP and is no stranger to SLPP activities in Kailahun District in particular and Kenema, Kono and the entire Sierra Leone.
He has a unique character that distinguishes him from the rest of the other aspirants for the said position. He undeniably cuts above the rest and his suitability for the position, on account of his experience in politics and his knowledge of SLPP history and ideology, cannot be questioned.
Abdulai has strong affinities with Kailahun - where he was born (Segbwema), Kenema - where he was raised, and Kono which is very close to his heart.
