The much innovative and determined Sierra Leone Police (SLP) under the indefatigable leadership of Inspector General William Fayia Sellu has taken a giant step by officially installing Close Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras across Makeni city in Bombali District, Northeast Region.

The installation of these CCTV cameras in the Northern city is a pivotal step in enhancing public safety and crime prevention in the country.

Reliable sources say the installation of the CCTV cameras is part of a broader strategy to improve law enforcement capabilities and ensure the safety of city dwellers.
The CCTV cameras were strategically placed to deter criminal activities, monitor public spaces, and respond promptly and effectively to incidents.

The Police Chief, William Fayia Sellu, emphasised the importance of the CCTV installations, stressing that the surveillance system will aim at getting evidence and enhancing the overall infrastructure in Bombali District.
The presence of CCTV cameras is expected to create a safer environment for citizens and visitors as well.
