Controversial Lawyer, Augustine Sorie Sengeh Marah Esq., has criticized the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) 2018 and 2023 presidential candidate, Dr. Samura Mathew Wilson Kamara, for being very inconsistent following the latter’s interview with Voice of America (VOA).
According to Lawyer Sengeh Marah, Dr. Samura Kamara’s interview with VOA about divergence and convergence on the Tripartite Committee’s Report speaks volumes about the APC leadership.
“I don’t like to wade into internal dynamics of political parties but here is my thought: you agreed to a process even though the terms of reference were unclear; you participated throughout the process and publicly signed the final report,” Lawyer Marah asserted. “What this process cannot give you, what can a man-to- man dialogue with President Bio get you?
He cannot eat his cake and have all of it.” He said Dr. Samura Kamara cannot impugn a process in which he willingly participated and took gleeful photos as co-negotiator, noting that political parties in Sierra Leone do not quite advance the interest of the people.
“The people of Sierra Leone wanted to have their right to information respected by disclosure of the full data of the last national elections but it seems the APC’s general main concern was to be declared winners of the last elections by a tripartite process,” the legal luminary asserted.
He criticized Dr. Samura Kamara in his popular Facebook page expressing his view about the former APC presidential candidate’s interview with VOA.
Lawyer Marah’s criticism reflects a growing frustration within the APC ranks and the general populace that feel betrayed by Dr. Samura Kamara’s inability to bring about meaningful change.
