The Sierra Leone Parliamentary Press Gallery (SLPPG) has awarded a certificate of recognition to Orange Sierra Leone, commending the company for its dedicated services in the mobile telecommunications sector.

The prestigious award ceremony, held at the Orange (SL) Head Office, Hill State Regent in Freetown acknowledged the company’s significant contributions to the nation’s development.

Amara Sewu, Executive Secretary of the SLPPG, presented the certificate to Madam Danetta Young, General Secretary of Orange Sierra Leone. He further noted that Orange Sierra Leone's innovations in mobile technology have played a crucial role in bridging the digital divide, especially in rural areas.

- Environmental Care Award: Orange Sierra Leone was named the Carbon Zero Champion Mobile Company of the year, while its CEO, Sekou Amadou Bah, was recognized as the Environmental Champion CEO of the year.

- Outstanding Humanitarian Award: In 2019, the company received this award from Shout Climate Change Africa for its humanitarian efforts.
