The Satellite has learnt from very reliable sources close to the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) that the Ordinary Congress for the elections of executive members of the Association, including its President, is expected to take place on Saturday 14th June, 2025.

According to the SLFA’s Executive Committee, during the Extraordinary Congress in April this year, they suggested that the Ordinary Congress should be held one week after the Extraordinary Congress.

However, reports are that the embattled President of SLFA, Thomas Daddy Brima, allegedly wants the elections to be conducted on Thursday 26th June, 2025 instead of Saturday 14th June in order to buy more time.

Football stakeholders that spoke to The Satellite are against the postponement of the Ordinary Congress and they are expecting SLFA to come up with a public notice for the Ordinary Congress.

Meanwhile, The Satellite will update the public on the SLFA’s Ordinary Congress in subsequent editions.
