The Director General of National Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NPRA), Brima Baluwa Koroma, has been honoured with the 2025 Africa Business Leadership Award, a prestigious recognition celebrating outstanding leadership, innovation, and impact in Africa’s business and regulatory landscape.

The African Regulator of the Year award, which will be conferred to him during the annual Africa Business Leadership Forum on 9th - 10th July in London, United Kingdom, was organized by African Leadership Magazine, attracting high-level delegates, government officials, and industry leaders from across the continent.

Mr. Baluwa Koroma was commended for his visionary leadership in transforming Sierra Leone’s petroleum regulatory framework, enhancing transparency, and fostering investor confidence.

Since his appointment, the NPRA under Koroma’s stewardship has implemented robust policies that ensure efficiency, accountability, and compliance in the downstream petroleum sector.

His reform-driven leadership has not only improved service delivery but also contributed significantly to national revenue mobilization and energy security.

This award places NPRA and Sierra Leone in the spotlight of positive continental recognition, reinforcing the nation’s commitment to good governance and sustainable economic development.
