The Director General of Sierra Leone Ports and Harbours Authority (SLPHA), Mr. Yankuba Askia Bio, and Nectar Sierra Leone Bulk Terminal (NSBT) Limited yesterday Tuesday 3rd June, 2025 signed the final review of the existing bulk and break-bulk concession agree ment.

This milestone follows the formal approval of the agreement by Cabinet.

The revised concession was prompted by the recent expansion and construction of a new berth at the port, aimed at boosting operational capacity.

The agreement is expected to significantly enhance port efficiency, streamline cargo handling, and support critical infrastructure development.

This signing marks a key step in the government’s broader agenda to modernize port operations and promote sustainable economic growth in Sierra Leone.
