In an effort to eradicate all illegal garages along the streets of Freetown, the Executive Director of Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority (SLRSA), Mr. James Baggie Bio, yesterday Monday 5th May, 2025 launched an operation along the Kissy Brook Hillside Bypass Road/Dwarzark Junction to clear all stationary vehicles, motorbikes (Okada), and tricycles (Keke) and other road hazards parked illegally along the road.

The operation will continue in other areas where street garages are located.

The operation brought together state actors in Road Safety Management and stakeholders in the transport sector, including the Deputy Executive Director of SLRSA and Head of Operations, Mr. Josie A. Scott-Manga, Director of Safety and Enforcement SLRSA, Mr. Augustine Kaitongi, and the Director of Traffic and the Joint Operations Team of the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) and Road Safety Corps (RSC).
