The uncouth political system of yesteryears recently reared its ugly head in the Eastern Regional city of Kenema where the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) National Youth Congress members met with one of their flagbearer aspirants, Sheik Alhaji Mohamed Kamara aka Jagaban.
Concerned APC members and supporters in the Southeastern Region have called on the general membership and leadership of the party to pay special attention to
Sheik Alhaji Mohamed Kamara, who is currently on tour of the Southern and Eastern Regions.
According to reports, during his meeting with the APC National Youth Congress in Kenema City, Jagaban was alleged to have literally forced congress members to take oaths of secrecy and allegiance, and to pledge their votes to the flagbearer aspirant before they would receive an eyewatering money from him.
Jagaban’s camp allegedly killed some cows and provided fifteen bags of rice which were prepared for the purpose of the oath taking and hundreds of the APC National Youth Congress members eat the food and drank water before they took the oath of sec recy and pledged their support to the flagbearer aspirants before they received the money from Jagaban.
A video of the primitive oath taking that has gone viral indicated that Muslims took the oath using the Holy Qur’an and the Christians using the Holy Bible, while they both sworn on raw meats from the cows that were killed for that purpose.
Meanwhile, the APC leadership is yet to react to Jagaban’s alleged uncouth action in Kenema.
