Expression of Interest (EoI) for Service Providers to develop and implement curriculum and training plans for “Entrepreneurship in Construction & Building sector” Training Modules

1. Employment Promotion Programme (EPP)
On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) is implementing the third phase of the Employment Promotion Programme (EPP) over a period spanning August 2016 to July 2020. The overall objective of the programme is to improve the livelihoods of youth in Sierra Leone through agricultural value chain development, improved productivity of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), better government policy implementation and skills development.
2. Areas of Implementation
The Construction & Building Entrepreneurship trainings addresses the needs of youth within three rural districts, namely Kailahun, Koinadugu and Kono.
3. Strategy
The Youth Development Component of EPP III addresses the mismatch between skills supply and the labour market demand through provision of targeted skills training among youth.
4. Purpose of Consultancy
Tender for the procurement of the services of local consultancy firms to develop and implement training plans for the Entrepreneurship training in Construction & Building Sector for 525 youth in all three districts. The successful bidder will be responsible for adjustment of the curriculum for Construction & Building, the training of Trainers’, development and implementation of training plans and the final training report. The basic curriculum for the module will be provided by GIZ EPP.

c. Development of training and logistics plan
d. Implementation of the training modules
e. Labor market integration measures
f. Final training report
6. Timeframe
The consultancy is expected to run from July 2019 to November 2019
7. Prequalification of Firms
For Expression of Interest and prequalification, prospective bidders should submit the following valid documentation:
1. National Revenue Authority (NRA) clearance certificate
2. Certificate of Business Registration
3. Brief company profile (3 pages) detailing minimum three years’ experience in the tasks outlined in the scope of work.
8. Submission of Expressions of Interest
