The main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) at the weekend released a statement that they have summoned Hon. Mohamed Bangura and Hon. Alfred Ayodele

Thompson for failing to follow their party’s mandate to boycott all governance processes in the country.
The two APC sitting Members of Parliament have been asked by their party to appear before the Disciplinary and Grievance Committee to further explain their actions.

According to the release, “Mohamed Bangura and Alfred Thompson summoned to face the disciplinary and grievance committee. The All People’s Congress wishes to inform its general membership that Hon. Mohamed Bangura and Alfred Thompson have been officially summoned to appear before the Disciplinary and Grievance Committee, a creature of Chapter 6 of the Party’s 2022 constitution….”

The committee comprised seven party members and it is anticipated that it will look into the matter with a judicious spectacle while the general membership are encouraged to monitor the process.

Responding to the release, Mohamed Alie Jalloh said, “The party needs to take serious action against the two ‘idiot men’ and ‘enemy of progress against the party.’”

Aliecious Vandi commented: “Boycotting the country as a whole and boycotting the party, which one is so bad? If you like the country as you claim, there is no need to boycott the progress of its development,” while Alhaji Sheik Kamara responded that, “Hope your grievance is in the nation’s best interest.” Meanwhile, Hon.

Mohamed Bangura is part of His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio’s delegation to the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, United States of America (USA).
