The police at Mile 38 have apprehended two persons allegedly involved in the trafficking of narcotic drugs.

According to report, after the police had conducted an extensive search of vehicles travelling to and from the provinces and questioning passengers in their efforts to uphold law and order, the police made a breakthrough by apprehending two suspects found in possession of a substantial quantity of Kush with an estimated street value of Le250 million.

The seizure of the synthetic lethal drug underscores the persistent battle against drug trafficking in the subregion.

One of the two persons arrested was identified as Sahr Senesie, who was onboard a vehicle bearing the registration number AOT 546. Their arrest marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to combat drug and substance abuse in Sierra Leone.

Despite public criticisms, the police have intensified their efforts in cracking down on drug traffickers, distributors and their agencies, particularly Kush that is posing serious threats to the lives of youths and the nation’s security and stability.
