Two serving officers of the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF), Captain Tambae. L. Konteh and Captain Aiah Aba Senesis, on Tuesday 26th November 2024, met their demise at the back of Calmount Road in Waterloo after a serious battle with the Quick Reaction Force (QRF).

A public notice issued by the Ministry of Information and Civic Education states that on the afternoon of November 26, 2024, Sierra Leone's security forces conducted a successful operation against two key fugitive captains involved in the failed coup of Sunday 26th November, 2023.

"Acting on credible intelligence, Captain Aiah Aba Senesie and Captain T. L. Konteh were located at a hideout in the Western Area Rural District, where they were reportedly planning further destabilising actions. Special forces moved swiftly to apprehend them, " the public notice states.

It added that the fugitives resisted arrest and opened fire at the security forces, and both captains sustained fatal injuries during the exchange, while efforts to locate and arrest the remaining fugitives continue.
The Satellite gathered from very reliable sources that Captain T. L Konteh and Captain AiahbAba Senesie led over fifty (50) fugitives into the country and established a base at the back of Calmount Road in order to strike on Tuesday 26th November, 2024.

It could be recalled that about eighteen (18) serving military personnel and some police officers were killed in cold blood by the assailants of the November 26, 2023 failed coup.
