Impeccable sources have intimated this medium that the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) has officially invited the Deputy Minister of Sports, Lawrence Kai Mbayo aka KLM, to its headquarters in Freetown for falsely accusing the Honourable Vice President, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, of supporting someone who allegedly bought his diamond illegally. The Deputy Minister is also invited to the CID Headquarters to explain why he is still commenting on the diamond issue that has gone viral on social media while the matter has long been charged to court.

Among the false accusations, Kai Lawrence Mbayo accused Vice President Juldeh Jalloh of supporting a Lebanese businessman, Jiad Basma, who the invitee accused of buying the diamond unlawfully. The Deputy Minister's accusation of the Honourable Vice President, according to observers, is intent on tarnishing the hard-won reputation of the Second Gentleman in the Republic of Sierra Leone.

While Kai Lawrence Mbayo has claimed that the diamond that was sold to the Lebanese businessman was his bonafide property, police sources have indicated that the diamond which was bought by Jiad Basma belonged to a foreign businessman, who is engaged in mining activities in Kamara Chiefdom, Kono District. Meanwhile, many concerned citizens, who have refuted KLM's damning accusation of the Vice President, believe that the Deputy Minister's accusation is deliberately intended to undermine the reputation of VP Juldeh Jalloh.
