Impeccable sources reaching The Satellite desk has revealed that, three top ranks ranging from Assistant Inspector General to Chief Superintendent in the Sierra Leone Police Force are presently lobbying the Seat of Power to replace the Inspector General of Police, Richard Moigbeh, whose position undoubtedly hangs in the balance.

The reports further that, the endorsed replacement of the IG Moigbeh, appointed by President Koroma to succeed his predecessor, Francis Munu is not unconnected with the high level of unprofessionalism and intimidation exhibited by the police in the discharged of their duties during the 2018 general elections.

Prominent among the names highlighted to replace IG Richard Moigbeh who is to proceed on leave to retirement inlclude, Acting AIG West, Lahai, Chief Superintendent, Fayia Sellu and AIG Elizabeth Turay. Meanwhile, Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Elizabeth Turay, presently in charge of Operations and Crime Services has been tipped to replace the IG eventually .

She is considered the most senior among those aspiring to become the new police boss under the New Direction of President Retired Brigadier Julius Maada Bio.
Since the change of government in April this year, massive numbers of promotions were made in the Police Force.
