Ex President Ernest Bai Koroma of the erstwhile APC government who handed over power peacefully to his successor, President Julius Maada Bio of the ruling Sierra Leone Peoples Party, was yesterday spotted at State House for the first time after the 2018 Presidential election.

President Koroma paid a courtesy call on President Bio at State House. The two held closed door meeting for over two hours. When he emerged from the meeting, Ex President Koroma was full of smile.

The former president’s visit shows that he meant it, when he said, at the inauguration of President Bio at the National Stadium, that he always stands ready to cooperate with President Bio and his government and to give advice when needed.

Last month, the former President returned to his hometown of Makeni where he received a hero’s welcome and said he was retiring.
