The spirit of respect, sharing, cooperation, and progress the core values of Leone Rock Metal Group (LRMG) was on full display as the company successfully hosted its third annual inter-site football competition.

The grand finale, held on Saturday 29th November 2025 at the Port Loko Stadium, brought excitement, unity, and healthy rivalry among staff and partners.

This year’s tournament featured four teams:
• KMC
• KRP
• Headquarters
• CRFG, LRMG’s subcontractor
After weeks of thrilling matches, the finals saw CRFG and KMC lock horns in a tense battle that kept spectators on edge. Both teams displayed exceptional skill and determination, but at full time the scoreboard remained even leading to a nail-biting penalty shootout. In the end, KMC emerged victorious with a 4–2 win, claiming the championship title.

The event was graced by top LRMG executives, including Chief Technical Officer Salim Sillah, Admin Director Miller, HR Consultant Mohamed Daffae, and several other key personnel.

Admin Director Miller, in his remarks, emphasized the importance of unity in strengthening organizational culture, noting that the company deeply understands the value of togetherness hence initiatives like the tournament. CTO Salim Sillah highlighted the significance of recognizing and nurturing talent, stating that motivation and engagement are essential ingredients for workplace excellence.

Employees expressed immense appreciation for the initiative, which provided a platform for relaxation, bonding, and showcasing athletic skill. Senior Administrative Officer Brima Turay, speaking on behalf of the staff, thanked the management for continuously fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.

The awards ceremony was equally exciting:
• KMC Champions, received NLe 25,000
• CRFG Runners-up, received NLe 15,000
• KRP NLe 10,000
• Headquarters NLe 8,000

Trophies and medals added a glittering touch to the celebration, recognizing the hard work, sportsmanship, and dedication of all participants.
The 2025 inter-site football competition once again demonstrated LRMG’s commitment not only to mining productivity, but also to fostering unity, wellness, and progress among its workforce.

As the cheers fade and the medals settle, one thing is clear: the spirit of teamwork at Leone Rock Metal Group is stronger than ever.
