His Excellency the Vice President, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh has on last Friday 29th June 2018 stormed the northwest region headquarters town of Portloko and its immediate chiefdoms in the district.

The visit is necessitated to assess some of the flagship programmes of President Retired Brigadier Julius Maada Bio under the New Direction in that part of the country.

VP Juldeh Jalloh also accompany the Deputy Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Mrs. Kadiatu Gogra on her “ Thank You” tour in Portloko district believe to be one of the stronghold districts of the main opposition All People’s Congress Party(APC).

It could be recalled that the Deputy Minister of Primary and Secondary Education was appointed by President Bio in his vision for national cohesion is hailed from Portloko district.

Dr. Juldeh Jalloh made several visitations to have first hand information include the Information Technology Centre, Bankasoka Hydro Dam, Port Loko Government Hospital, RC School, Kabartha among others. He met with some of the major stakeholders of Port Loko at the District Council Hall where they chat on development agenda in connection with the progress of the district under the New Direction before leaving to Pepel Town.

Accompanied by the Adviser to President and Ambassador at Large, Ambassador Umaru Bond Wurie, Ministers and other government dignitaries, VP Juldeh interact with residents at Pepel and later toured the Shandong Steel Iron ore Company Site.

VP Dr. Jalloh registered the commitment of President Bio’s New Direction government to continue working in the best interest of Sierra Leoneans.
His Excellency VP Dr. Jalloh’s rapturous welcome in Port Loko is not unconnected with the fact that his mother hailed from Lokomasama Chiefdom in the same district.
