The former Minister of Mines and Mineral Resources of the erstwhile President Ernest Bai Koroma led government, Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray, who is also deputy chairman and leader of the main opposition All Peoples Congress has been indicted by the Anti Corruption Commission.


The indictee who was head of the Hajj committee is presently grappling with five count charges, thus making him the fifth accused in the 2017 Hajj case that is expected to start hearing at the High Court in Freetown on Wednesday 22nd August 2018.

The Hajj-gate investigations commenced more than nine months ago, but were put on hold by the ACC headed by former Commissioner Ady Macauley

The government of President Bio in its unfeigned commitment to ensuring transparency and accountability in governance in its entirety, called on the new ACC boss, Francis Ben Keifala to revive their investigations.

Following reopening of the stalled investigation by the New Direction regime, the Commission invited former Vice President, Victor Foh, former Special Assistant of Social Affairs, Sheku Kamara, Jusu and one other suspect were indicted and would now face the court to prove their innocence.
