The Director of National Council of Technical, Vocational and Academic Awards (NCTVA) Mr. Mohamed Jalloh has said the spate of examination malpractices discovered in Higher Teachers Certificate Exams for BASE Student in Colleges nationwide is nerve-racking.

This, he said will soon prompt the council to employ independent examiners to conduct examinations especially at the Freetown Teachers College (FTC) situated at Jui in the far east of Freetown.

He made this startling exposure in an interview with this reporter yesterday August 7th 2019 at his office on A.J Momoh Street, Tower Hill in Freetown.

Mr Jalloh also denied allegations that blames the council for the late issuance of both Base and Online students lists, noting that it is the college authorities that delay to present the assessment list of their students and that this has gone unabated over the years.

Mr. Jalloh furthered that taking into consideration the number of colleges and students countrywide, NCTVA also ensures a perfect delivery of service to encourage students to be innovative and participate fully to achieve the goals of a credible Free Quality Education.

He appealed to school authorities to be dedicated in achieving this long anticipated goal as the council aims to leave a legacy for others to follow.
