The Petroleum Regulatory Agency headed by the young vibrant Executive Chairman, Dr Brima Baluwa Koroma increased revenue generated by PRA by 54% in 2019 over the previous year.


In 2018, PRA generated revenue of Le473.30 billion as against Le743.03 billion as tax from 407.91 million liters of imported petroleum products.

Fuel, in spite of the COVID-19 disruption to the economy, the PRA executive chairman assures, is available in the country to last for 12 weeks, adding that they are driven by President Bio’s impetus- to do more for the people.

PRA which he said has decentralized its operations to effectively monitor the sector has deployed 14 monitoring officers across the country.

He disclosed that because of PRA’s cordial relationship with oil marketing companies, potential dealers await government approval which he said will greatly boost the government and the people.
