Hon. Shiaka Sama who has been accused of being the mastermind behind all the troubles that have been happening in Malen Chiefdom between the people and Socfin Agricultural Company has been exposed by the people and consequently has lost popularity among not only the people that they say will certainly cost him his seat in Parliament in the coming 2023 elections.
Majority of the people have vowed never to vote for him any more as their representative, since he does not represent their best interest but is more interested in dividing them for his own selfish ends.
Meanwhile, Malen Land Owners in a public notice dated 10th June, 2020 have distanced- themselves from all public statements made by Hon. Shiaka Sama as and on behalf of MALOA.
MALOA state that they have been following developments unfolding in Sahn Malen chiefdom and are pleased with the intervention of the government and the chiefdom authority.
MALOA’s chairman Mr. Bockarie denies that he has contacted by FIAN concerning the misleading press release that went viral on social media naming him as the author.
“Maloa is open to dialogue and we are not anti development, we urge the mediation committee set up by government to speed up their investigation on the peace process,” the MALOA release says.
MALOA reiterated that Hon. Shiaka Sama is not their spokesperson nor does he represent Malen Land Owners Association. Therefore, whatever he says does not reflect the views of MALOA.
MALOAalso denounces the interference of groups like Green Scenery, Fian and other organizations that they say are only working in their own interest and not for the people of Sahn Malen.
“They only bring confusion and divisions amongst us. Please stay off from us,” the MALOA statement says, ending that MALOA wants development in their chiefdom, not fighting.
