According to His worship the Mayor of Kenema City, Thomas Taagbateh Karimu Baio, President Maada Bio will on Sunday 4th October 2020, unveil the newly built modern clock tower in Kenema.

The president will be accompanied by the First Lady Madam Fatima Jabbie Bio and entourage from the nation's capital Freetown to grace the occasion.

The newly built clock tower when unveiled will be one of the greatest achievements of the New Direction government.

It is a dream come true at last after much anticipation from the people of Kenema to get a modern tower.

After the 2018 general elections, Mayor Thomas Baio canvassed government officials including the Chief Minister, Office of the First Lady to name in order to find funding for completion of the tower.

Professor David John Francis also knocked at the door of one of the leading mobile operating companies in the country Africell to come to the aid of the people of Kenema as part of their corporate social responsibility.

HEMA Construction Company completed the project in four months according to a design agreed by all stakeholders in Kenema.
