The Southern Region Commander, AIG Brima Kanneh, has confirmed that about nine (9) thugs of the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) party were on Wednesday 7th June, 2023 intercepted along the Kalinda Filling Station, New York in Bo City after their vehicle bulldozed the Faalah Checkpoint on their way from Freetown but later broke down at where they were intercepted.


According to the no-nonsense Southern Region Commander, AIG Kanneh, about nine APC thugs were onboard the vehicle as follows:
1. Alpha Sheriff aka APC Sheriff – Leader of the SAMUCOCO Security;
2. Alhaji Hassan of 9 Pedro Drive, Lumley – Security;
3. Abdul Aziz Kargbo of 27 Gberi Junction, Kissy Crase Yard, Freetown – Driver;
4. Amara Condeh of 1 Mission Road, Kamabai – Driver for Chericoco;
5. Abdul Karim Mans – Block 72, Wilberforce Barracks, Freetown – Retired SLA 1817-1948;
6. Sorie Sillah of Sheriff Drive, Lumley;
7. Alhaji Fofana of 18 Coomber Lane, Gbendembu Town, Goderich, Freetown;
8. Aruna Sorsor Kamara of Kamabai Town – a Driver; and,
9. Alhassan Kamara of 5 Kabala Road, Kamabai Town.

AIG Kanneh said most of the APC thugs were clad in golden Lacoste T-Shirts with the inscription on the back “SECURITY SAMUCOCO.”

He further disclosed that after the vehicle was intercepted and searched, the police found Alpha Sheriff aka APC Sheriff in possession of a revolver pistol, pepper spray, military fatigues including uniform, clothing and boots, a head or face mask, a giant penknife, batons, a compass among other weapons.

AIG Kanneh also confirmed that the nine APC thugs are being investigated at the Regional CID South in Bo City and that they will get back to the public when the investigations are completed, noting that the matter has to be investigated as speedily and possible.

It could be recalled that very recently, the National Security Committee in its press release warned against the use of marshals by any political party and reminded them of the fact that the security of the State was under the purview of the national security.
