Following recent press attacks alleging fraudulent activities within its organization, the Sierra Leone Commercial Bank (SLCB), which is the oldest indigenous commercial bank in the country, has assured the general public and its revered customers of its unwavering commitment to trust, transparency and integrity.
In an immediate press release responding to the press attacks, SLCB stated that it “has been an integral part of Sierra Leone’s banking sector for decades, ensuring accountability, professionalism, and ethical practices. According to SLCB, “We take allegations of fraud very seriously and promise a thorough investigation. Any misconduct will be swiftly addressed, and those responsible will face appropriate action. Our cooperation with the appropriate authorities ensures a fair and transparent process,” adding, “While these allegations are unproven, it is crucial to approach them with caution. Reserve judgment until legal processes are complete. We value our reputation and our dedicated employees and do not allow them to be compromised by baseless accusations.” The Bank furthered that “Trust is fragile.
