Many people have stated that in the interest of fairness, the Minister of the Lands, Housing and Environment, Dr Dennis Sandy and the Minster of Trade and Industry, Peter Bayuku in the President Bio government, who had been declared persons of interest to the Commissions of Inquiry must with immediate effect resign or face dismissal by the President.

Others call for Sandy’s resignation based on a wide range investigation conducted by The Satellite medium, which suggest that, Dr. Denis Sandy then, and now Lands Minister allegedly complicit in a number of controversial seemingly land matters including alleged illegal reclaiming of state lands.

Findings conducted among officials in the Ministry of Lands and those affected by his reclaiming of state lands, exposed the Minister’s lack of knowledge of the laws governing the acquisition of lands in the country.

More worrisome is allegation of Minister Sandy applying selective justice in carrying out the reclaiming of state lands on what those affected have said is out of personal vendetta, even when those affected claim to have been issued permission for use of state lands in their possession by the ministry.

Furthermore, it is alleged that since President Bio appointed Dr. Denis Sandy as Minister of Lands, his failure to resolve amicably long-standing land disputes has placed the lives of many citizens living in disputed communities in jeopardy.

He is also accused of illegally repudiating legal documents signed by former Directors of Lands and Survey under his predecessors in the former APC regime as not authentic to acquire certain lands by individuals, organizations and communities.

The decision of the Minister in many land disputes is also alleged to have resulted for land officials from the ministry lives being put at risk where they go in the name of reclaiming state land.

Lands officials have encountered many attacks, prominent among them was that of the Morgaygba community where community people went berserk on them for attempting to taking their lands from them.

In the case of the Trade Minister Peter Bayuku, the nation is appalled that besides being a person of interest to the COI, under his watch, the trade regime in the country has gone haywire with his ministry seeming to lack the ability to restore sanity, at the detriment of the country’s long suffering poor masses.

Many citizen supporters who spoke to The Satellite viewed his failure to effective man such a vital ministry that borders on the livelihoods of the masses as a complete sabotage to their government, hence urged President Bio to immediately relieve him of his duties.
