The Managing Director of SALCAB, sIshmael Kebbay, Chief Commercial Officer David Tamba Kpakima and Chief Technical Officer Dennis Vandi had excelled in the just concluded Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.

The conference afforded the SALCAB delegation the opportunity to explore ideas on providing more products and value added services, build strategic partnerships and break into the international market.

The delegation met with the giant Chinese mobile manufacturer Huawei to discuss rolling out of Phase II of the terrestrial network, looking on solutions that fit Sierra Leone.

The aim of SALCAB is to create a robust international backbone to capacitate the submarine cable which will make the network more resilient.

The SALCAB delegation also explored the possibility of creation of a data center that will host all government and private sector data in the country; as well as possibilities of partnering with strategic international partners to expand rural connectivity in the country in terms of advancing education, health, trade, commerce and agriculture, among others.
