The residence of the Nigerian born Justice Biobele Georgewill who presides over Commission No. 64 was raided by thieves in the early morning hours of Monday July 21st.

The attack on Justice Biobele’s residence at Goderich comes almost a week after the Commissions’ Secretariat informed former President Ernest Bai Koroma, his ex- Vice Presidents, Ministers, Deputy Ministers and Heads of Parastatals mentioned as Persons of Interest to the Commission to declare their assets acquired /owned between the period of November 2007 to April 2018 to the Commission for scrutiny.

Whilst the Commissioner was not hurt and was unaware of the intrusion into his premise, on waking up, he discovered that his personal computer and some items had been stolen.

The matter was reported to the Attorney General and Minister of Justice under whose office the Commissioner works. The Inspector General of Police was duly informed and a full scale criminal investigation has been mounted.

Meanwhile, the Secretariat of the Commissions of Inquiry informs the public that proceedings at Commission 64 will continue tomorrow Wednesday July 23rd 2019.

Meanwhile, the National Secretary General of the main opposition All Peoples Congress Party speaking in an interview on VOA Radio said the party will take the matter of declaration of assets to the Justice Biobele Commission to the courts, cutting that the demand violates the rights of the APC Persons of Interest asked to face his Commission.
