Erstwhile Minister of Internal Affairs in the then President Dr.  Ernest Bai Koroma led All People’s Congress (APC) Government, Major (Rtd) Alhaji Ishmael Sengu Koroma, has endorsed His Excellency President Brig. (Rtd) Julius Maada Bio for his re-election come Saturday 24th June, 2023 presidential poll.

Speaking to The Satellite News Desk from the United States, Major (Rtd) Alhaji Ishmael Sengu Koroma, who also initially served as Deputy Minister of Energy, averred that based on his developmental strides in the last five years which are landmarks across the country, there is no reason why President Bo should not be re-elected to continue with his exemplary reformation of the country in the next five years.

According to the former Minister, Major (Rtd) Sengu Ishmael Koroma, who is a renowned politician in the Kenema District, President Bio has done remarkably well by successfully implementing numerous development projects right across the country that are impacting the lives of most Sierra Leoneans.

The erstwhile Minister cited the Free Quality School Education (FQSE), the great improvement in electricity supply in many parts of the country, especially the rural electrification in over 84 towns, construction of the new Freetown International Airport, the huge infrastructural development as some of the many achievements under the visionary leadership of President Bio. He also praised the Bio Administration for the massive improvement in the country’s health sector which he said has seen the construction of many hospitals and PHUs across the country that have culminated in the subsequent drop in maternal mortality rate.

It could be recalled that Sierra Leone had for many decades been classed as the country with the highest maternal and infant mortality in the world.
Major (Rtd) Sengu Ishmael Koroma therefore passionately appealed to all well-meaning Sierra Leoneans to endorse President Bio in the June presidential election to enable him continue with his developmental strides in the country.
