The Lebanese Community Committee in Sierra Leone, in fulfilment of their annual Ramadan support to Muslims, on Friday 1st June, 2018, donated assorted food items worth over Le100 million to Muslims in Freetown.

The presentation of the items took place just after the Friday Juma prayers at the Freetown Central Mosque Wilberforce Street in Freetown .

Presenting the items, President of the Committee Samir Hassanyeh said " the food items would be distributed to diverse mosques from the Central mosque as they've always distributed food items used for fasting during the previous Rammandam months"

He kindly appealed to the chief imam for the assorted food items to be distributed accordingly.

The Imam of the Lebanese community also appreciated the central mosque and the chief imam for strengthening the cordial relationship between the central mosque and the Lebanese community.

He encouraged them to uphold the the principles of fasting during the holy month of Ramadan
"As a product of the Lebanese Community who benefited from a schorlaship to pursue my Islamic education in Saudi Arabia, I'm always proud of such moment because other Muslims are also benefiting", the Lebanese Imam proudly stated.

He ended up by thanking the Lebanese community committee for such a good will ....

The Chief Imam Shek Tejan on receiving the items, also thanked the Lebanese community for donating such food items which are very essential during the holy month of Rammandam.

He said " the items will be distributed according to the list given to them by the Lebanese community and he'll ensure that all the mosques on the list will receive their quotas respectively.

The assorted food items include: 200 hundred bags of rice, 50 cartons of long life tomato, 20 cartons of Star Farm condensed milk, 10 cartons of Jago milk, 150 Gallons of oil, 20 bags of sugar, et al.
