Management of the Sierra Leone Commercial Bank has reacted with utter dismay to misleading information published in one of our local tabloids, indictaing that there was massive resignation.

due to the bank’s disclosure of former President Koroma as one of the politically exposed persons with huge unpaid debts owed the bank.

The SLCB Management considers such publication not only baseless, unfounded and purely a figment of the author’s imagination but also a deliberately calculated ploy to throw the integrity of the bank into disrepute.

SLCB Management wishes it to be known that the bank enjoys a high level of confidence and trust from its employees.

Furthermore, worker retention is very high, due to the security SLCB offers its employees, coupled with very attractive salary scales and comfortable conditions of service and bonuses that make employment in the bank much attractive.

SLCB Management entreats the author of the story to endeavour at all times to work professionally and dispassionately
in collecting and publishing news, on grounds that, misinforming the public about an organization, especially a financial one, can be detrimental to its image and standing with the public it seeks to serve diligently and with integrity.
