The Africa Emerging Leaders Conference and Awards has honoured the Company Secretary of the Sierra Leone Ports and Harbours Authority (SLPHA), Martin Maada George, Esq., for exemplifying the qualities of an emerging African Leader - visionary, disciplined, and committed to the continent's transformation.
According to the award citation, "Martin Maada George is a distinguished legal and maritime governance professional with a decade of experience in law and public service.

He has served for more than six years as Company Secretary of the Sierra Leone Ports and Harbours Authority (SLPHA), where he has driven significant reforms in maritime laws, seaport management, and international shipping regulations."
Martin Maada George holds an LLM in International Maritime Law with Distinction, an LLB (Hons) from the University of London, and a BA from Fourah Bay College (FBC). He was cSalled to the Sierra Leone Bar in 2017, and a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Sierra Leone, respectively.
Martin Maada George, Esq. is married to Anna Maada-George and blessed with three sons.
Meanwhile, the legal luminary did not attend the awards ceremony organised in Accra, Ghana, following the death of his uncle and brother, which occurred two days apart. Their funeral ceremonies are scheduled for today, Friday, and tomorrow, Saturday.
