A memo from the Office of the President dated May 31st, 2018 states that the Chief Immigration Officer, Alpha Kholifa Koroma, has forthwith been relieved of his duties.

Reacting to his dismissal in a voice message on social media, the embittered former Immigration boss grumbled that his dismissal is unfair and unjust. He stated that President Bio was in breach of the Constitution in sacking him without recourse to the contractual obligation that existed between him and the Government of Sierra Leone and government perpetuity.

He bluffed that he is the one and only Sierra Leonean who for ten years headed and worked tenaciously for the institution without any security breach.

“Look at the way the SLPP Government removed me from office,” he said, without respecting the human rights of individuals.
He asked for the government to pay him his emolument.
