In the performance of its functions and mandate, the National Public Procurement Authority(NPPA)as a regulatory body for public procurement, is vested with the authority to develop and issue out forms and standards to be used on a mandatory basis by procuring entities.

The procuring entities are also required by law to be reporting to the Authority on their procurement activities. In this regard, the Authority has since its establishment developed and issued Standard Procurement Forms (SPF) 1-6 as reporting tools and data collection mechanism.
