Orange Money Sierra Leone has announced a significant reduction in its cash-out fee by 20%, marking a positive step for its esteemed customers.
This move is part of the company’s broader strategy to make Mobile Money Services more accessible and affordable for the public.
With the reduction, users can now enjoy more savings when withdrawing funds, encouraging wider adoption of digital transactions across the
country.
“Enjoy a 20% discount on Orange Money cash-out fees for amounts up to NLe6, 999. No extra charges to customers beyond the tariff guide. Agents are prohibited from handling customer phones to conduct any transaction. Dial *747 for assistance with queries, requests or complaints at the Orange Money Call Centre,” Orange Money averred.
The reduction in fees is expected to benefit a large segment of Sierra Leoneans, particularly those in rural areas, where access to traditional banking services is limited.
By easing the cost of cashing out, Orange Money aims to provide a more inclusive financial service, supporting local businesses and individuals who rely on Mobile Money for everyday transactions.
Orange Money’s initiative aligns with the Government’s ongoing efforts to promote financial inclusion and reduce the dependency on physical cash. This fee reduction is likely to attract more users to the platform, further integrating Mobile Money into Sierra Leone's financial ecosystem.
As Mobile Money continues to grow in popularity, Orange Money’s decision to lower its cash-out fees demonstrates its commitment to customer satisfaction and economic development in Sierra Leone.
