As President Julius Maada Bio continues to showcasehis commitment in making the long anticipated Free Education scheme practicable, amid the economic stagnations inherited from former President Koroma led APC government, his government has paid first term fees to 3, 491 schools across the country.


Without borrowing from the country’s Central Bank, the government through the Ministry of Finance has paid the sum of Le25, 182,420,000 to the Bank Accounts of 3,491 schools across the country as first term fees for the year 2018/2019 academic year under the Free Quality Education Programme.

Additionally, payments will also be made to 531 schools by next week ahead of the opening of schools on 17th September 2018.
