Vice President Hon. Dr Mohamed Juldeh who in the absence of President Bio is acting as head of state has met with a group of Chinese investors from Hunan Province.

Hunan with a population of 10 million is a major industrial hub that les just outside the metropolis of Beijing.

According to the spokesman of the Chinese business delegation, their visit to Sierra Leone is the outcome of President Bio’s recent visit to China where he told the Chinese President and business community that Sierra Leone is open for investors from China.

The Chinese business community spokesman informed VP Jalloh that they are interested in mining and industry – specifically mining of iron ore for transformation into steel.

Welcoming the Chinese business delegation, VP Jalloh told them that as a government, their responsibility is to create an attractive environment for investors to come and do successful business.

As such he extended a warm welcome to the Chinese business delegation, adding that investors are welcome.

The Chinese delegation thanked VP Jalloh for receiving them, adding that they are very happy to be here and to meet with him.
