Sierra Leone’s First Lady, Dr. (Mrs.) Fatima Jabbe Maada Bio, landed at the Heathrow Airport in London on Sunday 12th November, 2023 to attend a Commonwealth Women Leaders’ event.

According to the Information Attaché to the Sierra Leone High Commission in London, Abdulai Braima, First Lady Dr. (Mrs.) Fatima Bio, a widely celebrated global icon and prominent advocate for women and girls’ rights, is the keynote speaker on the topic: “A Call For Action: Safeguarding the Wellbeing of Women & Children.”

The noteworthy event will be held at Marlborough House, with other high-profile dignitaries including Her Majesty Queen Camilla.

On the conclusion of her London engagement, Dr. Fatima Bio is expected to promptly return to Freetown, where she is scheduled to host another noteworthy event expected to be attended by her colleague First Ladies on the occasion of the November 18 United Nations designated World Day Commemorating Victims of Child Sexual Abuse, Exploitation, and Violence.
