Representatives from Orange Foundation Sierra Leone have assured the Free Quality School Education Secretariat at the Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education that their organization would continue to provide the necessary support in order to help the MBSSE fully implement and actualize the free quality education. scheme.


Director of Orange Foundation, Madam Tina Betts, said that her company was committed to delivering on its corporate social responsibility with specific reference to support towards the free quality education scheme.

She cited the construction of Early Childhood Development centres by Orange Foundation in Bombali, Port Loko, Pujehun, Bonthe and Moyamba districts as some of her company's interventions in the sector.

She assured that Orange Foundation would continue to play a key role in the education sector and praised the MBSSE for maintaining an open-door policy. Head of Public Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility at Orange Foundation, Kamal Omar Sheriff Abass, said Orange treats its corporate social responsibility with seriousness and thanked the FQSE Secretariat for collaborating with his company.

National Programme Coordinator at the FQSE Secretariat, Augustine Koroma, thanked Orange Foundation for their support and urged them to continue to effectively collaborate with his Secretariat in order to impact hard-to-reach communities with their interventions.

He stated that the MBSSE, through the FQSE Secretariat, would continue to reach out to organizations for support, stressing that Orange was an enviable example of those companies that take their corporate social responsibilities seriously.
